FDC Assault Advisories | March 28 - April 3, 2017

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty.

INDIANTOWN, Fla. – On March 29, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Martin Correctional Institution.

Inmate Jose Martins (Y58512) assaulted the officer at approximately 3:05 p.m. EST. Inmate Martins threw a chair at the officer, striking the officer in the leg. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Inmate Martins will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


INDIANTOWN, Fla. – On March 30, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Martin Correctional Institution.

Inmate Timothy Jefferson (C02427) assaulted the officer at approximately 10:30 p.m. EST. Inmate Jefferson kicked the officer in the head. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Inmate Jefferson will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


CENTURY, Fla. – On April 1, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Century Correctional Institution.

Inmate Antoine Tibbs (274126) assaulted the officer at approximately 5:15 a.m. EST. Inmate Tibbs charged at the officer and struck the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted minor injuries. Inmate Tibbs will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


CHIPLEY, Fla. – On April 2, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Northwest Florida Reception Center.

Inmate Robert Fink (G06904) assaulted the officer at approximately 11:25 a.m. CST. Inmate Fink kicked the officer in the leg. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Inmate Fink will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


PERRY, Fla. – On April 3, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Taylor Correctional Institution.

Inmate Damian Buch (U48517) assaulted the officer at approximately 1:50 p.m. CST. Inmate Buch struck the officer in the side of the head. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted minor injuries. Inmate Buch will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
