FDC Assault Advisories | February 14 - 22, 2017

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty.

CLERMONT, Fla. – On February 16, an inmate assaulted correctional officers at Lake Correctional Institution.

Inmate Roberto Labadi (M73822) assaulted the officers at approximately 9:40 a.m. EDT. Inmate Labadi became combative, head-butting one officer in the face and scratching the arm of another. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted minor injuries. Inmate Labadi will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


LAKE CITY, Fla. – On February 16, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Columbia Correctional Institution Annex.

Inmate Shieme Idlette (157530) assaulted the officer at approximately 8:50 p.m. EDT. Inmate Idlette kicked the officer’s hand into a door. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted minor injuries. Inmate Idlette will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


CENTURY, Fla. – On February 17, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Century Correctional Institution.

Inmate Jaylin Rue (K83977) assaulted the officer at approximately 10:15 a.m. CDT. Inmate Rue became combative and bit the officer on the knee. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted minor injuries. Inmate Rue will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


CROSS CITY, Fla. – On February 17, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Cross City Correctional Institution.

Inmate Curtis Rivera (B08506) assaulted the officer at approximately 3:20 p.m. EDT. Inmate Rivera became combative and scratched the officer’s arm. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted minor injuries. Inmate Rivera will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


MILTON, Fla. – On February 17, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Santa Rosa Correctional Institution.

Inmate Kenard Graham (B05297) assaulted the officer at approximately 10:11 p.m. CDT. Inmate Graham was in escort when he struck the officer in the chest with his shoulder. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Inmate Graham will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
