Correctional Sergeant Arrested Following OIG Investigation

LAKE CITY, Fla. – The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) Office of Inspector General (OIG) arrested Correctional Sergeant Walter Roach today following an OIG criminal investigation. Roach has been charged with official misconduct, unlawful compensation and introduction of contraband.

Following the arrest, Roach was transported to the Columbia County Jail. The Florida Department of Corrections Office of Inspector General acknowledges the cooperation and assistance provided by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and the State Attorney’s Office in the 3rd Judicial Circuit.
