Governor Rick Scott Recognizes July 17-23 as Pretrial, Probation, and Parole Supervision Week

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Governor Rick Scott designated July 17 – 23, 2016, as Pretrial, Probation and Parole Supervision Week in a proclamation signed on July 12. This week recognizes community corrections professionals who ensure public safety by providing effective supervision of offenders in the community.

Secretary Julie Jones said, “The Department is proud to recognize our correctional probation officers and community corrections staff during this year’s Pretrial, Probation, and Parole Supervision Week. We thank them for their unwavering dedication and hard work to provide supervision for nearly 140,000 offenders and being instrumental in safeguarding Florida’s communities.”
