TALLAHASSEE – The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) today announced Michelle Glady as the new Director of the Department’s Office of Communications, effective June 13, 2016.
Department Secretary Julie Jones said, “We are proud and excited to welcome Michelle Glady to the FDC team. Her experience in both the public and private sectors constitutes a diverse skillset that will prove critical to maintaining transparency and providing accurate information about the Department and our mission.”
Prior to joining the FDC team, Glady served as Deputy Communications Director and Press Secretary for the Florida Department of Children and Families. In addition to the skills she has gained through public service, Glady’s experience includes client development, strategic public relations, fostering relationships with media and community partners and establishing a growing web and social media presence.
Glady received her Bachelor of Science in Communications degree from Florida State University, with a concentration in Public Relations and minors in Business and English.
