RMC Paw Camp Graduation to be held at Reception and Medical Center Work Camp

If you would like to attend, please contact the Florida Department of Corrections’ Office of Communications as soon as possible at (850) 488-0420. Attendees will need to complete and submit a Media Background Access Form. No video or photos may be taken without prior consent and approval of Department staff at the event.

WHAT: Media representatives are invited to the RMC Paw Camp graduation ceremony. The RMC Paw Camp program brings together rescue dogs from the Lake City Human Society and inmates from Reception and Medical Center Work Camp for obedience training. Graduating dogs earn the AKC Canine Good Citizen Certificate and are crate trained, housebroken, spayed/neutered, up-to-date on shots and micro-chipped.

WHY: Through programs like RMC Paw Camp program, the Department of Corrections is focusing on teaching inmates valuable job skills that will lead them to productive jobs and law-abiding lives upon release.
