A 16-year-old runaway girl was recently located thanks to the diligence of Hollywood Correctional Probation Senior Officer CPSO Nakesha Tucker and the Ft. Lauderdale Probation region's partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

An FBI investigation into "escort services" in the local area revealed that offender Masum Bannerson, who was on CPSO Tucker's caseload, was possibly involved in providing minors for prostitution. The offender had allegedly posted the child's photo in certain advertisements. The FBI worked with CPSO Tucker to confirm that the child was staying at the offender's residence. Based on the photo, CPSO Tucker was able to indentify that it was the same child she saw at the offender's home.

An undercover operation was conducted by the FBI and local law enforcement. Detectives met with two females at a hotel in Miami-Dade County. Both females had apparently been taken to the location by the offender. One of the females was the minor child (age 16) who have been living with the offender. After an investigation, it was determined that the offender had allegedly arranged at least ten "dates" during which the minor child was forced to act as a prostitute. The offender has been charged with 18 USC ยง 1591- Sex trafficking of children or by force, fraud, or coercion. In addition to the new charge, the offender has also been violated for leaving the county without permission.
