Directions: From I-10, take Exit 324 (US-90 West) approximately 4 miles. The Institution will be on the left. From I-75, take Exit 427 (US-90) approximately 15 miles. The Institution will be on the right.
Due to the high number of visitors at Baker Correctional Institution, a new visiting policy will be put into place effective December 15, 2012.
Inmates whose DC number ends with a 0-4 will visit on Saturdays. Inmates whose DC number ends with 5-9 will visit on Sundays.
Holidays will be excluded and will be done as first come, first serve basis.

Historical Information: This facility was established in 1978 as a minimum custody youthful offender facility. In 1981 it was converted to house adult male inmates. In November 2009, the mission of the facility was changed to prepare inmates for work release and aid in a successful re-entry into society. Baker Work Camp is under the supervision of Baker C.I.
