Visitor Arrested with Hidden Narcotics

Defuniak Springs, Florida The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) today announced the arrest of Nathalia Rosario during her visitation at Walton Correctional Institution on Sunday, December 11. Following a search of her vehicle, a considerable quantity of narcotics was discovered and Rosario was arrested by the Office of the Inspector General (OIG).

Rosario consented to a search after a K9 alerted on her vehicle. Officers located 43 grams of amphetamines within the vehicle. Officers also recovered was 27 grams of marijuana, 54 grams of bath salts and suboxone strips.

Rosario was charged with introduction of contraband into a state institution and trafficking in controlled substances. She was taken to Walton County Jail for booking.
