FDC Implements Changes of New Routine Inmate Mail Rule

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida Department of Corrections new routine inmate mail guidelines outlined in Rule 33-210.101 Florida Administrative Code went into effect at all institutions statewide on November 29, 2021.

As part of this new rule, all routine inmate mail will be scanned and delivered electronically starting with four (4) pilot sites beginning January 18, 2022:

  • Calhoun Correctional Institute
  • Lawtey Correctional Institute

  • Polk Correctional Institute

  • Martin Correctional Institute
