FDC Assault Advisories | June 14 – June 20, 2022

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Florida State Prison: On June 14, Inmate Tahj Jones (P60358) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Union Correctional Institution: On June 15, Inmate Wesley Dorvil (Y47973) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Calhoun Correctional Institution: On June 15, Inmate Raul Gil (Y63918) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Walton Correctional Institution: On June 15, Inmate Dekevious Menefee (E42893) assaulted an officer by scratching their left hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Columbia Annex: On June 16, Inmate Pedro Bonilla (C11269) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Central Florida Reception Center: On June 16, Inmate Herbert Moore (K74855) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Marion Correctional Institution: On June 16, Inmate Kevin Santiago (C09915) assaulted an officer by striking them on the hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Avon Park Correctional Institution: On June 17, Inmate Alex Booker (R36005) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Union Correctional Institution: On June 18, Inmate Sirjacquema Fleming (X22230) assaulted an officer by grabbing their left wrist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Union Correctional Institution: On June 18, Inmate Jean Torres (X62858) assaulted an officer by headbutting them on the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Century Correctional Institution: On June 19, Inmate Kareem Rhodes (G24352) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Florida State Prison: On June 19, Inmate Michael Haynes (C10262) assaulted an officer by grabbing them and throwing a battery which hit their cheek. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Florida State Prison: On June 19, Inmate Ned Thompson (G02400) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On June 19, Inmate Roger Posey (569560) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Hardee Work Camp: On June 19, Inmate Kenneth Bogan (887655) assaulted an officer by punching them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Jackson Correctional Institution: On June 19, Inmate Eric Jerry (E80720) assaulted officers by grabbing their hands and closing them in a cell flap. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries.

Suwannee Correctional Institution: On June 20, Inmate Darrell Bailey (468842) assaulted an officer by striking them on the leg through a cuffing port. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Jackson Correctional Institution: On June 20, Inmate Luis Gonzalez (R93413) assaulted an officer by grabbing their hand and attempting to pull it through a cell flap. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
