FDC Assault Advisories | May 10 – May 16, 2022
This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.
Lake Correctional Institution: On May 10, Inmate Allen McGriff (126091) assaulted an officer by pushing them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Charlotte Correctional Institution: On May 10, Inmate Yasmany Diaz-Guerra (T47067) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Suwannee Correctional Institution: On May 10, Inmate Yosmar Poviones (M59416) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Union Correctional Institution: On May 11, Inmate Quinton Sylvestre (L38983) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Charlotte Correctional Institution: On May 11, Inmate Jamal Tucker (T80522) assaulted an officer by grabbing their hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Charlotte Correctional Institution: On May 11, Inmate James Coleman (U17178) assaulted an officer by striking them in the back of the leg. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Union Correctional Institution: On May 12, Inmate Marvin Pace (B02617) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Gulf Correctional Institution: On May 12, Inmate Albert Hall (190612) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Santa Rosa Annex: On May 12, Inmate Brooks Kinder (G80337) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On May 12, Inmate Delouis Perry (D24963) assaulted officers by hitting them with a shirt soaked in gas liquid. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries.
Walton Correctional Institution: On May 13, Inmate David Thomas (Q13748) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Blackwater Correctional Facility: On May 13, Inmate Artevin McNair (V70658) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Charlotte Correctional Institution: On May 14, Inmate James Cochran (G11719) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Florida Women’s Reception Center: On May 15, Inmate Mia Williams (Q41073) assaulted an officer by striking their hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Charlotte Correctional Institution: On May 16, Inmate Alexander Green (M75111) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Reception & Medical Center: On May 16, Inmate Ernest Polston (241098) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
