FDC Assault Advisories | October 26 – November 1, 2021

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On October 26, Inmate Jerry Pascal (M32285) and Inmate Kwame Rigby (M80373) assaulted two officers by attacking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Walton Correctional Institution: On October 26, Inmate Leo Burch (515114) assaulted an officer by striking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Cross City Correctional Institution: On October 27, Inmate Bryant Daniels (U16267) assaulted an officer by attacking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On October 28, Inmate Jose Sanchez (X83463) assaulted an officer by biting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Gulf Correctional Institution: On October 28, Inmate Willie Brown (B03692) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Polk Correctional Institution: On October 28, Inmate Jaylin Landers (158438) assaulted two officers by punching them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Suwannee Correctional Institution: On October 29, Inmate Joseph Plaia (K89923) assaulted an officer by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
