FDC Assault Advisories | October 5 – October 11, 2021

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Suwannee Annex: On October 5, Inmate Jamar McCray (U29829) assaulted an officer by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Desoto Annex: On October 5, Inmate Jonathan Lollis (128817) assaulted two officers by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Central Florida Reception Center: On October 6, Inmate Taybron Stewart (J59754) assaulted an officer by striking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Desoto Annex: On October 7, Inmate Logan McKnight (U48153) assaulted an officer by biting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Mayo Correctional Institution: On October 9, Inmate Douglas Maxfield (C07477) assaulted an officer by pulling their hands through the cuffing port. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Calhoun Correctional Institution: On October 9, Inmate Andrew Moore (G24145) assaulted an officer by attacking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Florida State Prison: On October 10, Inmate Kyle Pierre (M58520) assaulted an officer by striking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

South Florida Reception Center: On October 11, Inmate Joshua Benz (B80134) assaulted an officer by punching them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
