FDC Assault Advisories | January 1 – January 11, 2021

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Gulf Correctional Institution: On January 1, Inmate Zachary Williams (B11536) assaulted three officers by striking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Lancaster Correctional Institution: On January 2, Inmate Nevin Marshall (U30075) assaulted an officer by slapping them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On January 3, Inmate Jonathan Nunez (M45518) assaulted an officer by grabbing their wrist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Northwest Florida Reception Center: On January 3, Inmate Billy Culpepper (959017) assaulted an officer by striking them with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Lowell Annex: On January 4, Inmate Tiana Tilghman (K88300) assaulted an officer by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Union Correctional Institution: On January 4, Inmate Karl Messina (042841) assaulted a staff member by striking them with a tray. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Hardee Correctional Institution: On January 4, Inmate Jonathan Aguirre (J56176) assaulted two officers by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Okaloosa Correctional Institution: On January 5, Inmate Ronald Mitchell (099611) assaulted an officer by striking them in the head with a food tray. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Century Correctional Institution: On January 5, Inmate Danny Tucker (A50286) assaulted an officer by headbutting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Florida Women’s Reception Center: On January 5, Inmate Crystal Gray (V38622) assaulted an officer by biting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Suwannee Correctional Institution: On January 6, Inmate Marvin Pace (B02617) assaulted an officer by punching them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Apalachee Correctional Institution: On January 7, Inmate Elijah Love (V53515) assaulted an officer by kicking them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Apalachee Correctional Institution: On January 8, Inmate Thomas Tingley (616700) assaulted an officer by striking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Desoto Annex: On January 9, Inmate Jocelyn Alce (456738) assaulted an officer by attacking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On January 11, Inmate Osman Shah (129791) assaulted an officer by attacking them with an improvised weapon. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Suwannee Correctional Institution: On January 11, Inmate John Coates (S36358) assaulted an officer by punching them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
