FDC Assault Advisories | October 8 – October 14, 2019

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Holmes Work Camp: On October 8, Inmate Raymond Hamilton (590932) assaulted an officer by pinning them against a wall. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Calhoun Correctional Institution: On October 9, Inmate Daniel Bailey (L17161) assaulted an officer by scratching them on the arm. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Okaloosa Correctional Institution: On October 9, Inmate David Thomas (149554) assaulted an officer by striking them on the head. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On October 10, Inmate James McCoy (Q33846) assaulted an officer by striking them with a food tray. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Zephyrhills Correctional Institution: On October 12, Inmate Stephen McNeeley (956866) assaulted an officer by striking them in the chest. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Florida Women’s Reception Center: On October 12, Inmate Tania Rosado (E03956) assaulted an officer by scratching them on the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Walton Correctional Institution: On October 13, Inmate Michael Sims (K75965) assaulted two officers by striking them multiple times. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Walton Correctional Institution: On October 14, Inmate Noah Jordan (E14583) assaulted an officer by kicking them on the leg. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
