Florida Department of Corrections to Host Hiring Event
for Okeechobee Correctional Institution
OKEECHOBEE, Fla. — The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) is hosting a hiring event for correctional officers and food service coordinator positions at Okeechobee Correctional Institution, on Wednesday, March 20.
A $1,000 hiring bonus is available for correctional officer positions at Okeechobee C.I. No experience is necessary, and all newly hired officers receive paid training. The starting salary for certified officers is $33,500, and comprehensive medical, dental and additional life insurance is available.
