FDC Assault Advisories | January 29 – February 4, 2019

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On January 29, inmate Kawayne Williams (M50771) assaulted two officers at approximately 6:22 a.m. Inmate Williams punched each officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries. Inmate Williams will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

Madison Correctional Institution: On January 29, inmate Mayceo Wilson (J57420) assaulted an officer at approximately 7:24 p.m. Inmate Wilson struck the officer in the chest and knocked them to the ground. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Inmate Wilson will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

Florida Women’s Reception Center: On January 30, inmate Chiquita Johnson (G19153) assaulted two officers at approximately 6:04 p.m. Inmate Johnson kicked the officers in the legs and shoulders. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Inmate Johnson will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

Franklin Correctional Institution: On January 30, inmate Haree Cook (H35409) assaulted an officer at approximately 7:41 p.m. Inmate Cook struck the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Cook will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

Walton Correctional Institution: On January 31, inmate Walter Robinson (D54056) assaulted an officer at approximately 6:07 a.m. Inmate Robinson kicked the officer in the abdomen. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Inmate Robinson will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On February 1, inmate Randy Festich (158211) assaulted an officer at approximately 3:10 p.m. Inmate Festich punched the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Festich will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

Desoto Annex: On February 2, inmate Ruben Gonzalez (133862) assaulted an officer at approximately 12:35 a.m. Inmate Gonzalez kicked the officer in the shin. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Inmate Gonzalez will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

Santa Rosa Annex: On February 3, inmate Craig Dolphy (144762) assaulted an officer at approximately 3:00 p.m. Inmate Dolphy bit the officer on the hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Dolphy will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On February 4, inmate Christopher Sanders (R24565) assaulted two officers at approximately 11:25 a.m. Inmate Sanders became combative, striking the officers multiple times. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries. Inmate Sanders will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

Union Correctional Institution: On February 4, inmate Khadis Bennett (I43175) assaulted two officers at approximately 12:33 p.m. Inmate Bennett grabbed an officer by the wrist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate kicked a responding officer before being subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries. Inmate Robinson will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

Franklin Correctional Institution: On February 4, inmate Charles Murray (R69984) assaulted an officer at approximately 2:35 p.m. Inmate Murray struck an officer on the back with a broomstick. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Murray will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
