TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) will hold visitation for Christmas day on December 25 and visitation for New Year’s day on January 1.
Weekend visitation will take place on December 22-23 and December 29-30. Visitation will not be allowed on December 24 or December 31 regardless of state office closures.
Following the holiday season, visitation will resume regular schedule.
As Florida's largest state agency, the Department of Corrections employs 24,000 members statewide, incarcerates approximately 96,000 inmates and supervises nearly 166,000 offenders in the community.
