FDC Assault Advisories | September 11 – September 17, 2018

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty.

RAIFORD, Fla. - On September 11, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Union Correctional Institution.

Inmate Roderick Johnson (G10208) assaulted the officer at approximately 10:18 a.m. Inmate Johnson struck the officer’s hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Johnson will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

RAIFORD, Fla. - On September 11, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Florida State Prison.

Inmate Steven Clark (T19404) assaulted the officer at approximately 12:14 p.m. Inmate Clark struck the officer in the head with his forehead. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Clark will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

CROSS CITY, Fla. - On September 11, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Cross City Correctional Institution.

Inmate Robert Munoz (128973) assaulted the officer at approximately 3:50 p.m. Inmate Munoz elbowed the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Inmate Munoz will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

CROSS CITY, Fla. - On September 12, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Cross City Correctional Institution.

Inmate Robert Munoz (128973) assaulted the officer at approximately 7:50 p.m. Inmate Munoz bit the officer on the hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Munoz will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

ORLANDO, Fla. - On September 12, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Central Florida Reception Center.

Inmate Herman Durns (079949) assaulted the officer at approximately 9:10 p.m. Inmate Durns struck the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Inmate Durns will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

MILTON, Fla. - On September 12, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Santa Rosa Correctional Institution.

Inmate David Trusso (591053) assaulted the officer at approximately 3:15 p.m. Inmate Trusso kicked the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Trusso will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

JASPER, Fla. - On September 14, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Hamilton Correctional Institution.

Inmate Najee Rhynes (X92771) assaulted the officer at approximately 2:31 p.m. Inmate Rhynes head-butted the officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Rhynes will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

MILTON, Fla. - On September 15, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Santa Rosa Correctional Institution.

Inmate Kevin Rushing (127550) assaulted the officer at approximately 2:25 a.m. Inmate Rushing stabbed the officer in the arm with an improvised weapon. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Rushing will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

RAIFORD, Fla. - On September 16, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Florida State Prison.

Inmate Allen Pullen (M37913) assaulted the officer at approximately 3:46 p.m. Inmate Pullen stabbed the officer in the thigh with an improvised weapon. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Pullen will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

CLERMONT, Fla. - On September 16, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Lake Correctional Institution.

Inmate Paul Barton (M96656) assaulted the officer at approximately 5:43 p.m. Inmate Barton head-butted the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Barton will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

ARCADIA, Fla. - On September 17, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Desoto Annex.

Inmate Aloysius Chisolm (122108) assaulted the officer at approximately 11:20 a.m. Inmate Chisolm struck the officer in the hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Chisolm will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

OCALA, Fla. - On September 17, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Marion Correctional Institution.

Inmate Shawn Richardson (469606) assaulted the officer at approximately 3:17 p.m. Inmate Richardson kicked the officer in the knee. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Richardson will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.

MILTON, Fla. - On September 17, an inmate assaulted two correctional officers at Santa Rosa Correctional Institution.

Inmate Devonte Trice (B15599) assaulted the officers at approximately 5:20 p.m. Inmate Trice struck both officers multiple times. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries. Inmate Trice will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
