Florida Correctional Officer Arrested
RAIFORD, Fla. – The Florida Department of Corrections’ (FDC) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) announced the arrest of Correctional Officer Benjamin Hankerson. Hankerson is charged with conspiracy to introduce contraband, unlawful compensation for official behavior and bribery.
Following the arrest, Hankerson was transported to the Bradford County Jail. The OIG acknowledges the cooperation and assistance provided by the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office and State Attorney William Cervone of the 8th Judicial Circuit of Florida.

119.071(2)(e), F.S., exempting all information “revealing the substance of a confession” by a person arrested until there is a final disposition in the case.
