FDC Celebrates Heel to Heal Dog Program Graduation at Hernando Correctional Institution
If you would like to attend, please contact the Florida Department of Corrections’ Office of Communications as soon as possible at (850) 488-0420. Attendees will need to complete and submit a media background access form. No video or photos may be taken without prior consent and approval of Department staff at the event.
- Media are invited to the Heel to Heal graduation ceremony. This program brings together dogs from the Hernando County Animal Services with inmates from Hernando Correctional Institution for an eight-week training regimen. Graduating dogs earn the AKC Canine Good Citizen Certificate and are crate trained, housebroken, spayed/neutered, up-to-date on shots and micro-chipped.
