Correctional Officers Arrested Following OIG Investigation

BRISTOL, Fla. - The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) Office of Inspector General requested arrest warrants for Correctional Captain Steven Cloud and Correctional Sergeant William Davis yesterday following an OIG criminal investigation. Cloud has been charged with official misconduct and submitting a false “use of force” report. Davis has been charged with malicious battery, official misconduct and submitting a false “use of force” report.

Cloud and Davis turned themselves into the Liberty County Jail. The FDC Office of Inspector General acknowledges the cooperation and assistance provided by the State Attorney’s Office in the 2nd Judicial Circuit.
